Samsung Solid State Server Data Recovery

Nearly every article you read rates Samsung SSDs at the top of the pack for both consumer and professional applications. Overall, Samsung SSD technology has made significant strides in the consumer market recently. For the average consumer, the speed of the server and its lack of moving parts make it very attractive. However, with the growing installed base, at FixmyData, we also see a significant increase in Samsung SSD data recovery needs.

If you're not sure what happened to your Samsung device, call us for a free consultation. When you're ready for us to do a free evaluation, you can bring your device to our company. Once you decide to proceed with Samsung SSD recovery, there is no charge unless your recovery is successful.

FixmyData has developed techniques to read, rebuild, restore, and recover encrypted data in Samsung solid-state servers based on Samsung MGX dual-core and older controllers.

The Samsung EVO and QVO series are developed for everyday computing with high performance and endurance. Based on Samsung's V-NAND technology, EVO optimizes performance for your everyday computing tasks. Designed for mainstream desktops and laptops, EVO SSDs come in a variety of capacities and form factors. The Samsung QVO series uses the latest 4-bit MLC technology to deliver higher capacity at the same price.

Samsung EVO SATA SSDs

No matter how much capacity your computer needs, there's a Samsung EVO that fits. Choose between 2.5" form factor for desktops and laptops, and SATA-based M.2 (2280) or mSATA for ultra-thin computing devices.
The hard limit of the SATA interface is a factor, so it's hard to make EVO stand out on performance alone. Samsung manages some other impressive numbers, like endurance, but not on price. Speed remains consistent even under heavy workloads and multitasking, resulting in faster file transfers.
Your data is protected - EVO supports hardware-based AES 256-bit encryption and is compliant with TCG Opal and IEEE 1667 standards.

Samsung EVO and EVO Plus NVMe

The latest generation of EVO and EVO Plus NVMe, driven by Samsung's latest V-NAND technology, provides unmatched performance in its class when handling demanding tasks such as 4K content editing, 3D modeling and simulation, and large-scale gaming.

To avoid thermal issues with the NVMe SSD, Samsung integrated several layers of copper beneath the sticker on the back. Please do not peel off that sticker!

Samsung QVO SATA SSDs

QVO SSDs provide customers with massive storage capacity, combined with stable performance, reliability, and outstanding value. This is achieved through Samsung's latest 4-bit MLC NAND flash technology. QVO establishes a new entry-level tier in Samsung's highly successful family of SSDs. QVO leaves the factory with a write endurance rating equivalent to 0.3 full drive writes per day (DWPD), which, even for a 1TB capacity, means 300GB per day, exceeding most consumers' workloads.

Samsung QVO is the first in a new wave of SATA SSDs that, thanks to increased QLC NAND density, can undercut even TLC-based DRAM-less SSDs on price—and QVO itself comes equipped with full-size LPDDR4 DRAM cache.

Samsung USB and Thunderbolt 3 Portable SSDs

Samsung portable SSDs elevate data transfer speeds to a new level, unlocking new experiences with external storage. With a compact and durable design and password protection, Samsung portable SSDs are truly easy to carry and securely store data.

The portable SSD software includes AES 256-bit hardware data encryption and optional password protection. The SSD also features a shock-resistant internal frame and a sturdy metal casing, designed to withstand drops of up to 2 meters (6.6 feet), while integrated dynamic thermal guard technology and an internal heat sink ensure the device stays cool under any workload.

Even Your "Indestructible" Samsung Pro SSD Can Fail

The higher price of the Samsung Pro series comes with endurance ratings far higher than the EVO series—twice that of the EVO family. FixmyData finds that Samsung artificially lowers its endurance ratings for warranty purposes. Unlike SSDs from other manufacturers, Samsung's SSDs will continue to run even after you've used up the endurance within the warranty period. The one thing you lose after the SSD exceeds the threshold is the ability to RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) that SSD. Over-provisioning is one of the most common ways SSD designers help ensure the SSD will outlive the flash endurance ratings would otherwise support. If the SSD contains more flash than its interface presents (officially stated capacity), the controller can manage wear across many more blocks.

Samsung Pro SATA SSDs

The Samsung SSD Pro series with traditional SATA and SATA M.2 interfaces offers customers speed and endurance. Powered by Samsung V-NAND, designed for heavy workloads on workstations, entry-level servers, and NAS devices with heavy usage in mind.

Samsung Pro NVMe

NVMe M.2 is a new interface that uses the PCI Express standard, which used to be exclusively for graphics cards, to connect to the computer motherboard. This interface allows much higher bandwidth (currently up to 32 Gb per second or 4000 MB per second) compared to the existing SATA interface, which is limited to just 6 Gbps.

FixmyData also provides data recovery services for traditional Samsung mechanical hard drives.

Please make sure you choose the right company the first time because you may not get a second chance to recover your data.
